  ? 上海市英语教育教学研究基地(以下简称“英语教学基地”)为上海市高校“立德树人”人文 社科重点研究基地之一。英语教学基地于2016年7月获上海市教委批准设立于上海外国语大学,由束 定芳教授担任首席专家。上海市高校“立德树人”人文社科重点研究基地的设立旨在更好地发挥上海高校对上海市基础教育课程改革的智力支持作用,贯彻落实上海市教育综合改革方案。 英语教学基地的第一个五年计划包括研制上海市基础教育阶段英语课程标准,审定或参与编写 上海市基础教育阶段英语教材,以及承担上海市基础教育阶段英语教师教育项目。 英语教学基地目前聘有近20名专兼职研究人员,并与上海市各区县英语教研员及中小学英语教师保持密切的联系。同时,英语教学基地聘请了Rod Ellis教授、Brian Tomlinson教授以及多名国内外知名学者作为其咨询专家。 目前,英语教学基地已与上海市浦东新区海桐小学等学校搭建深度合作平台,通过推行“驻校研究员机制”探索校本英语课程改革。

  The Shanghai Center for Research in English Language Education (SCRELE) is one of the key research centers for humanities and social sciences in Shanghai. SCRELE was established in 2016 by the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission to push forward city-wide English curriculum innovations in basic education through in-depth university-school collaborations. Based at Shanghai International Studies University, SCRELE involves researchers, teacher educators and teachers from major universities, education development institutes, and schools in Shanghai and scholars from other parts of China. In particular, SCRELE aims to establish strong connections and collaborations with researchers, teacher educators and practitioners from overseas educational institutions. According to its first five-year plan, SCRELE will undertake to achieve the following goals: (1) formulating new English curriculum standards covering Year 1 to Year 12; (2) developing a new set of textbooks and new learning resources for the new curriculum, and (3) training teachers to work effectively to achieve the new curriculum standards. Currently, SCRELE has nearly 20 full-time and part-time researchers and keeps close contact with English teachers in primary and high schools in Shanghai, with Prof. Rod Ellis,Prof. Brian Tomlinson and a number of other prominent EFL scholars on its advisory board. In addition, SCRELE is now collaborating with some schools in Shanghai and other parts of China in their school-based curriculum innovation projects. Since November 2015, a research group from the center has been working intensively with Haitong Primary School, an experimental school in Pudong New District, Shanghai, to try out pedagogical initiatives through on-going collaborations between in-residence researchers, school teachers and students.
